Taxes
- Taxpayer calendar (Spanish Tax Agency): the filing deadlines for each month.
- Income tax withholding calculator (Spanish Tax Agency): work out the income tax withholding that applies to your payslip.
- Appointments and assistance (Spanish Tax Agency): book an appointment at a tax office or assistance by phone or video call.
- Electronic notifications (DEHú): check whether the Tax Agency or another authority has sent you a notice.
- Check an EU VAT number (VIES, European Commission): verify that a customer or supplier in another EU country has a valid VAT number for intra-EU transactions.
Catalan taxes and housing
- Reference value of a property (Cadastre): the value used as the basis for property transfer tax and inheritance and gift tax.
- Property transfer tax (Catalan Tax Agency): information on the tax paid when buying a second-hand home.
- Inheritance tax (Catalan Tax Agency): basic information on inheritance tax in Catalonia.
- Municipal capital gains tax in L’Hospitalet (ORGT, Barcelona Provincial Council): self-assessment of the tax on the increase in land value when selling or inheriting a property.
- Reference rent price (Ministry of Housing): check the reference rent for a home, used for the rent cap in stressed housing market areas.
- Catalan rent price index (Catalan Housing Agency): check the reference rents for homes in Catalonia.
Updating rents and contracts
- Rent update calculator (Ministry of Housing): work out the annual increase in the rent of a home.
- Update an amount with the CPI (INE): calculate the change in the Consumer Price Index between two dates to update rents or other contracts.
- Reference index for updating residential rents (IRAV, INE): the official index for updating residential leases signed since 26 May 2023.
- Euribor and official interest rates (Bank of Spain): the official reference rates for the mortgage market.
Social Security and employment
